Up for auction is this vintage lot of used United States precancels, which are postmarked from cities throughout the U.S. The folder that I found these in within my dad’s stamp collection states there are 800 + in this lot, but haven’t done a complete count…Based on a loose estimate this number seems about right, but again, I can’t guarantee it. These are mounted (hinged) on thin pieces of paper that have three hole punches down the sides, as if they were once displayed in a binder. There are numerous sheets with varying amounts of stamps on them per page…Some sheets only have a handful of stamps, others are nearly full. As far as I can see these stamps are in tact, just postmarked and hinged. I am not a stamp collector myself so my knowledge is very limited, however I will do my best to answer any questions.
